I am happy after an anticipated arrival, the Echinacea are in full bloom.
for they give off a very nice fragrance.
The garden insects must appreciate them as well...
I know this bee looked very happy.
It is interesting how the petals begin pointed up and then move to a downward
position (at least in these varieties).
Okay, not an all coneflower post. Some
zinnias are now blooming, they should
attract some bees and later butterflies.
And a shot of my wayward lettuce flowers.

Fantastic Chris! I love all coneflowers, they are such a great perennial for the summer garden. And they really do attract a variety of wildlife!
Thanks...I always like to see coneflowers. I will have to watch this fall and see if the birds come to eat seeds.
Chris your coneflowers are really beautiful, I am addicted to the blooms....I purchased several plants this year after seeing them on other peoples blogs.....
and you are right they attract so many insects....delightful post....
Hi Cheryl, thanks for visiting. Your coneflowers should have a happy home...and I am sure they will make your insects very happy. I noticed that some seem to be fragrant while others are not (at least yet).
My special echinaceas did not return this year. I do have the good old white ones and purple ones though(-: Yours are very pretty!
